Lin Weixiang

Lin Weixiang, born in 1982 in Jiexi, Guangdong, is a contemporary Chinese artist known for his innovative approach to painting and narrative reconstruction. After graduating from the prestigious Guangzhou Fine Arts Institute in 2006, Lin has established himself as a prominent figure in the Guangzhou art scene, where he currently lives and works.

 

Lin's artistic journey is marked by a series of solo exhibitions that showcase his evolving style and conceptual depth. His most recent solo show, "Picnic in the mountains" (2021) at VC Art Space in Guangzhou, exemplifies his ability to blend natural imagery with abstract elements. Earlier exhibitions, such as "Beyond the reality of rewriting" (2016) at Art plus Gallery in Shanghai and "Mysterious Tales in the Jungle" (2013) in Beijing and Shanghai, highlight Lin's fascination with narrative deconstruction and reimagination of reality.
