Leng is a young Chinese sculptor and a Master of Fine Arts student at MUST. He is a member of several organizations, including the China Sculpture Institute, the Jiangsu Artists Association, the Jiangsu Sculpture Association, the Jiangsu Young Artists Association, the Changzhou Sculpture Association, and the Changzhou Young Artists Association.
Leng was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. His father, Len Tianming, is also a Chinese sculptor who studied under Qian Shaowu, former head of the Sculpture Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and director of the Sculpture Institute of the Chinese National Academy of Arts.
Since 2013, Len has been studying sculpture with his father and has gradually become a new generation of young artists with a strong personal style.
In 2018, he was selected as a new emerging field youth by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and was awarded the excellent certificate of the first phase of the "Youth School of the Communist Youth League".
Leng's works have been selected for national art exhibitions hosted by the China Sculpture Institute many times, and his sculpture work "Viewing Self" was permanently collected by the National Art Museum of China in 2019.
In 2021, he won the "2021 Trend Pioneer Artist" award at the 2021 Global Trend Creative Awards Ceremony held at CCTV International Media Port. He was also awarded the "Youth Artist" title as a model for emerging young people in Jiangsu Province on the "Youth Craftsmanship 100" list.
As one of the pioneering sculptors representing China's new rise, he combines Chinese cultural aesthetics with avant-garde artistic styles. By using classical sculpture techniques and exploring different materials and forms, Len creates a unique Chinese trend sculpture style language through solid artistic expression.
