In collaboration with Art+ Shanghai Gallery, Powerlong Art Center presents “Tamen+'s Metamorphoses - From the Sublime to the Ridiculous", the 19th solo exhibition by Tamen+ , the artist collective founded in 2002 by the artists Lai Shenyu and Yang Xiaogang. The exhibition is on view at Powerlong Art Center from October 27th to November 14th. Both artists were born in China's Hunan Province in 1978 and 1979 and received post-graduate degrees from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in the Department of Printmaking and are currently based in Beijing.
"Tamen+'s Metamorphoses - From the Sublime to the Ridiculous" is the first major museum retrospective dedicated to Tamen+’s collaborative work in over 15 years. The exhibition features over 40 paintings, including Tamen+’s awe-inspiring 10-meter long masterpiece - Lost Heaven, along with the artists’ newest thought-provoking series of works
