The exhibition presents a selection of the photographic series by a French artist and photographer Corinne Mariaud. The works on view include the portraits from “Fake i Real Me” and “Trophies” series, a sneak peek on her provocative “I am not a Man” series, as well as Corinne’s earlier “Disorder” and “Au Musée” series. The show not only expresses the character of the photographed subjects but it succeeds in communicating the artist’s own vision. Behind the glance of “FAKE i REAL ME”, the exhibition raises serious and alarming questions about the loss of “i” in our modern society, the “i” that fights conformity with resistance, and the “i” that is entangled in the knot of absurdity and common sense, nature and superficiality.
