The artist duo Xindi Tong and Ting Shen both graduated from prestigious art institutions: Xindi Tong from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a Bachelor in Fine Arts, and Ting Shen from the China Academy of Art with a Bachelor in Ceramic Art & Design. In their creative process, Tong Xindi and Shen Ting use self-made machinery and computer programming to precisely control ceramic crafting, achieving accurate control over the variables in the ceramic production process, aiming to simulate the ultimate goal of mimicking nature's creations. They have held solo exhibitions titled "Glaze Temptation" in 2020 and "Microcosm" in 2022 at Merci Gallery in Hangzhou, China. They also participated in the group exhibition "Artefact" at Ting-Ying Gallery, Design Centre, London, in 2021, and showcased their works at "E-arth ear-th" The 12th Chinese Contemporary Young Ceramic Artist Work Exhibition at the Crafts Museum of CAA, Hangzhou, also in 2021.
Additionally, Xindi Tong and Ting Shen collaborated on the special exhibition "Couriers and Artisans of the Nation: An Exhibition of Chinese Ceramic Painting" at the Crafts Museum of CAA, Hangzhou, in February 2023, and the "New Perception of Technology: An Exhibition of Contemporary Experimental Crafts" at the Crafts Museum of CAA, Hangzhou, in October 2023. Notably, their work "Blue-green Curtain" was acquired by The Victoria & Albert Museum in London, UK, in 2021.
